Trevor had a brief introduction to Karate prior to joining the Army, but it wasn't until his time in the forces that Trevor began serious martial arts training. He studied Judo for several years and always had a great interest in its origins; (pre-sport). In 1991 he began training at the Jikishin Ju Jitsu Association with Sensei Colin Humbles and achieved black belt in 1999. Although having moved from Colchester to Cornwall he is still proud to consider Sensei Humbles as his mentor, and endeavours to pass on the Jikishin syllabus as faithfully as it was taught to him. Trevor enjoys researching and cross training in all aspects of Budo, particularly those arts closely related to Ju Jitsu.
